Ellen Scharfenberg won the First Prize for Drawing and Graphic Media for her
pastel, "Remembrance of Summer" at the Jersey Shore Juried Art Show at The
Boatworks, River Road, Belmar. The show, given by the Belmar Art Council, is
open Wednesday to Saturday, March 23 to April 26, from 1 to 5 pm.

Bill Unger will have his first solo show at the Ocean County Artists Guild in Island
Heights for the month of May.  Opening reception May 5, 1-4 pm.  

Elaine Rusoff won 1st place in the Leisure Village
Annual Art show with her painting “Snowed In.”


You may bring 1 or 2 pieces to be hung in the newly renovated Brick Library.

Special Announcement

Shannon Ehrola, a recent past recipient of the MRGA Scholarship, has won a
$5,000 grant for painting from the Thomas Geoge Artists Fund-Princeton Area
Community Foundation.  It is quite a prestigious award and we as MRGA members
are very proud of Shannon’s accomplishments in the world of art.  Great News
Shannon!  Thank you for keeping us informed.  Shannon also happens to be the
granddaughter of one of our past presidents, Maureen Walsh.
